Baby Shower.

I am not sure how many of my xanga friends remember Sarah from a few years back. She was doing her Family Practice Residency here, and because of domestic abuse she had taken shelter with me. She’d stayed with me for a month or two before we got her moved to her own condo. Her parents live in Oak Brook IL, in a huge palatial mansion. After Sarah got divorced from that j**k, she waited a couple of years and met and got married in 2013 to a wonderful engineer, whose parents also live in Oak Brook. He works for Google, and I love him. He is such a fine young man.

This weekend there was a baby shower for them in Oak Brook. The home was decked with neat things. Her friends and relatives threw the shower for her, and the family wanted me to come and be with them. So I went. This is Sarah last year at another wedding in the family. IMG_3931ThereΒ  were about sixty people at the event, and this group of people shows her mother- in- law in green, with her identical twin in white in the background. Sarah’s mom is standing next to her on the right.
I thought you might like to see pictures of a happy event. My family is totally ecstatic about Sarah and her husband.

many Muslim people do not advice divorce. They think that the girl would never get married again, and tell her to just put up with the abuse. I am so proud of Sarah that she was bold enough to do that, and is so happy and blessed now.
