Icy Fingerprints

The temperatures have been below zero most of this week, and will continue for most of next week also. Lots of snow! Lots and lots of the white stuff.

I wanted to run a couple of errands yesterday, and saw these patterns on the windows of the garage. Came back inside the home and grabbed my camera and was able to shoot these filigreed patterns on the windows. I hope you can zoom them to see the details.

Pretty, no?

About Zakiah

I write poetry and some fiction, have a book that was published in 2012. . . Stray Thoughts/Winged Words. I have four grandchildren, ages 16 and half to almost 16 months. I love the ocean, and grew up along the Indian Ocean in South India. I am a retired physician. Don't know much else to say. Thanks for reading. That has been my profile for so many years. My daughter Saadia a great poet and story teller, has two sons; the oldest grandson is now 21 years old, doing architectural engineering at Missouri S&T in Rolla MO. His younger brother is almost 16 and taking driving lessons seriously and is in High School. The other two grandsons, children of my son Sayeed, are 9 and 5. I have recently published another book titled Gulistan, A home of Flowers. It has stories and memories of my childhood and of a distant land which I still consider as my HOME., even though I have lived here in the US for more than fifty years. Hope to see you on my blog.

Those are lovely photos — the patterns are almost like big snowflakes made of little snowflakes! How pretty — but how COLD!

It is indeed cold. Very cold. It was so good talking to you yesterday. Love.

It was wonderful to talk with you — thanks for the call. Today I was surprised by an opportunity to have a first Covid-19 vaccine shot. On very short notice, I got ready and went the 4 miles to Soka University, where they had a very efficient system set up. I’m glad to get that done, and will be even happier on March 4 to get the second shot! I do hope that vaccinations will be the key to ending this pandemic 🙂 !

  2. Love these ice crystals… makes the cold a bit more bearable. I hope you’re continuing to get stronger.

  3. Nature is an artist that sculpts the diamonds; Zakiah.
    Love ❤

Pretty. Every where we have been has had a very tundra like feel to it.

  5. Nature’s lace is so beautiful!!! 🙂 Great photo, SweetZ! 🙂 Wouldn’t that pattern be a lovely tablecloth or curtains or bed covering!!! 🙂

We have been frozen too. I don’t have any pretty pictures to show for our below freezing temps… Hope you are staying warm!

So beautiful! We are having very cold weather, too. And we are seeing more snow lately than I can remember in years! It is so beautiful, but we watch it from inside the house most of the time. So thankful to have a warm home and blankets, etc.! Stay warm and safe!

I can only wish we get to see snow flakes here where I live. Wishing thinking, I know. Stay warm, Zakiah.
