And now This!

I am feeling fine for almost a week. My quarantine is over. The IV Infusion I took has helped it seems. The second dose of vaccine is not until 90 days after the infusion, because the monoclonal antibodies that were infused, are supposedly protecting me. Hope so.

M got Covid last week. He was initially negative two weeks ago before he got the vaccine. Last Thursday he wasn’t feeling good, and I drove him to the testing site, where he tested positive. He was given the BAM infusion on Saturday. He is beginning to feel better.
Men have no strength like women! Period! They are weaker, more whiny, walk around like they are about to keel over, all while feeling “pretty good”! He has no fever, pneumonia or chills or headache. Guy just wants attention. Pffftt!

I am leaving the house now to just get out and get some fresh air and feed the birds.
So basically I am doing very well. Thank you all for all your prayers and good wishes.

Love you all, a lot!

So very glad thee is feeling better. Sorry about the manly health, but love that it validates, once again, your strength.
    Is it NPM yet? πŸ˜‰

    • Zakiah says:

      Can’t wait for NPM Kim. πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰
Men are such woosses! Did I spell that right or is there such a word as wooss? (Wuss) Whatever.
I am feeling almost 100% better. Some tiredness if I do too much. But that has always been a part of my life i think.

Hehe! Men just can’t handle it. Sparky had his first surgery in 2019 and was a near invalid for much longer than the surgeon anticipated… Finally had to absent myself so that he would be forced to do a few things for himself. Amazingly he was near normal when I returned after 6 hours…

    • Zakiah says:

I know exactly what you are saying. I had to get out of the house this morning, even though it was snowing. It just felt good to be away from groaning and the “hound dog with fleas” attitude.
He is feeling much better since I returned after a couple of hours. Right now, he cannot get enough of the golf channel. Little mercies, so blessed!!

I’m so glad you’re feeling better, Zakiah! Keep getting plenty of rest, and get that second shot when you can (I’m still waiting for the first one to come up!

    • Zakiah says:

I wish I could get “plenty” of rest, Janet. Sometimes i feel like a wrung out dish towel, and i go and sit on the sofa, and every muscle starts thanking me; at least it feels like that. I feel bad complaining about M, but he is such an Indian baby…. wanting to be pampered and paid attention to. I am just so happy he is improving.
I hope you can get your vaccine soon.

  4. mrswrangler says:

Glad you are better. When I am sick I still prepare some kind of meal and make sure we have clean laundry. Doing this when I feel the worse. Wrangler sits and does nothing.

    • Zakiah says:

Welcome to my world darling! 53 years and more, I have gone through this with little or no help!
Hope you never get ill like I did.
      Love.

      • mrswrangler says:

Wrangler’s favorite comment to make when I am sick is “do you really feel that bad.” If I felt better I would beam him with a skillet or something. I am not one to act sick for attention.

    • Zakiah says:

So sorry to hear such “empathy” or lack thereof from your life partner. Men are different animals.

      • mrswrangler says:

Yes they can be. Mine has been known to say stupid things and than have to dig himself out of a hole. He has gotten better over the years but sometimes he is completely clueless.

  5. Whew…. I’m happy that you’re feeling better. I hope there won’t be any long term effects. Gosh, what bad luck for M. It’s funny, when I’m sick, I don’t want anyone pampering over me. I just want to be left alone. Sending you lots of love and hugs. πŸ™‚

    • Zakiah says:

I really shouldn’t generalize. There are men, who don’t care for pampering, or who don’t act whiny. But I think they are the diamonds in the rough, very few and far between.
I am glad I am feeling good and thank God for not going through a much rougher time than I did (which was bad enough). Thank you for your thoughts and prayers dearest Mattie. Love you.

  6. I am glad you are getting much better, Zajkiah .
But what to think about “Men have no strength like women! Period! They are weaker, more whiny”
    πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚
    Love ❀
    Michel

    • Zakiah says:

Thank you dear Michel. Like I told Matt above, I shouldn’t generalize. When I wrote the post, I thought of you and Matt, and told myself, “not all men are alike!” I think my husband could lead the pack of whiners!
      Love to you and yours.

  7. So glad you are well!!! Whew!
So sorry your hubby now has to deal with the virus…and you have to deal with him. πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜€
Seriously, though, praying for his recovery.
How is the rest of your family doing?
    (((HUGS))) and prayers πŸ™‚

  8. lolaWi says:

  9. So glad you’re recovering!!! β™₯️

  10. christao408 says:

Matt told me you’ve been unwell. I do hope you are recovering and getting back to your usual levels of energy!

  11. So glad you are feeling better. LOL YOu are so right about guys. I am sorry your husband has to deal with the illness though. Prayers and hugs.

    • Zakiah says:

Thank you love. M is feeling fine, and every day he is stronger and less tired. It really hit him hard, i think, and i was such a spoilt brat about it all. I think it was because i had not got over my illness completely, and he came down with it. I was so drained and so exhausted. Praise the Lord, we are doing very well now. Thank you for your prayers.

  12. cjjustice1 says:

Dear Zakiah ! am so glad to hear that you have recovered! Have your son, grandson. and husband all recovered yet? I’m sorry that you have all suffered, and will pray now for all of your family to be safe. Do you think that the vaccine is safe? It sounds like your husband got the virus from the vaccine. My younger sister works in a hospital, and has had both vaccines, with no side effects.
I went back through your posts to Dec. 27, and I love how you and your family celebrate with lots of delicious food! Mmmm!!
Happy belated birthday! You are so very pretty and active – and I hope when I’m 80 that I will be like you too! And since I’m adding in birthday greetings, I will also say Happy New Year! I pray that this year you will be especially blessed!
    Love and hugs,
    Carolyn

    • Zakiah says:

So good to see you here Carolyn. What a pleasant surprise.
By the Grace of The Almighty, we are all doing very well… husband, son, his sons and wife and my daughter’s son! All of them are done with their quarantines.
Almost every single person i know and who has had the vaccine has had no problem what so ever other than mild flu like symptoms. At least no one came down with Covid, except my family. But, thank God we are all doing well and are enjoying the face time conversations with each other. Personally i think the vaccine is safe and should be taken.

      • cjjustice1 says:

Hi Zakiah ~ I am hearing more and more people who are saying the same thing about the vaccines, and have about decided to have one myself. Not right now though! We have had a lot of snow dumped over yesterday through today, and are expecting more throughout the week. And it is COLD!!
Anyway, I’m glad to hear that you are all doing better now. ❀

  13. Rupali says:

I hope you all have recovered by now. Pranam.
