Eunice John MD

Today my dear friend Eunice would have celebrated her birthday. I would have called and wished her. She would have smiled and the dimples would have said hello to the world. She would have said, why don’t you and M come over and spend some days with me? She always invited people. Always! I am hoping that she is happy where she is, and that there are hundreds of angels celebrating her birthday up above.
What an amazing lady she was! What grace she had! How gentle her life was, and how soft her voice was when she talked to the little sick children at the hospital. I have truly never seen a more selfless and giving person in my life. She just gave and gave, and never once thought that she was overdoing her generosity. She had so much love in her heart.
Today is her birthday.
The pictures below are from our Alumni Reunion in 2016 in Ontario California.

I miss my dear friend Eunice today. I hope the angels are celebrating her birthday up above.

This photo shows her here with her nephew Suneeth and his son. She adored him. It was taken at one of my visits to her when I would go up to Chicago to help her during her various therapies. It was taken about six months before she passed on.
Miss you dear Eunice.

About Zakiah

I write poetry and some fiction, have a book that was published in 2012. . . Stray Thoughts/Winged Words. I have four grandchildren, ages 16 and half to almost 16 months. I love the ocean, and grew up along the Indian Ocean in South India. I am a retired physician. Don't know much else to say. Thanks for reading. That has been my profile for so many years. My daughter Saadia a great poet and story teller, has two sons; the oldest grandson is now 21 years old, doing architectural engineering at Missouri S&T in Rolla MO. His younger brother is almost 16 and taking driving lessons seriously and is in High School. The other two grandsons, children of my son Sayeed, are 9 and 5. I have recently published another book titled Gulistan, A home of Flowers. It has stories and memories of my childhood and of a distant land which I still consider as my HOME., even though I have lived here in the US for more than fifty years. Hope to see you on my blog.
