It’s all my fault.

Why did the surgery have to be cancelled? My fault! Why did I have to get sick? Pfffttt! Now I have to wait till next Monday the 1st of October.

I have been getting get well cards and phone calls telling me to be brave and hoping that the surgery went well. arrrggghh! My fault. Why did I get sick?

Today, I received the most beautiful Orchid plant I have seen. It has so many branches and each branch is LOADED with buds. This plant came all the way from California from dear friend Janet. Oh My Goodness, my jaw dropped when I saw the number of buds and how beautiful the plant is. I should have had the surgery by now, because it was sent in anticipation of the fact that the surgery was over and I would have loved seeing this while recuperating.

Well, my fault! So silly, like a little child, no? I had to go and get sick.

But, I am telling you, the plant looks absolutely gorgeous, see for yourself. Thank you Janet, a million times thank you for thinking of me and sending it on. I shall cherish it. I love growing orchids.IMG_7238

Love and hugs to you Janet for this thoughtful gift of blooming life.

You’re very welcome, Zakiah, but no blame involved! Now this plant serves two purposes — 1) get well from bronchitis so you can have your surgery and 2) a successful recuperation and outcome from the surgery! I’m so glad the plant is so pretty and so full of flowers and buds — may it last until Christmas,, and bloom again next year!

  2. The orchid is gorgeous. I haven’t seen one with so many buds and flowers.

You can’t control when you get sick … even though you’re a doctor. 🙂

I hope you are recovering from your bronchitis.

I’m sorry to hear you came down sick. I actually came to WordPress to send you a note of encouragement and to see how your surgery went. All in time, I suppose. You know as well as the rest of us, infection doesn’t have much prejudice and will do its best to propagate, regardless of whether or not it’s convenient to us. The orchid is lovely, with so many buds and flowers, and Janet is a kind and thoughtful friend. I think there are a lot of us out here hoping you keep your spirits up and praying for your recovery, both from the bronchitis and the impending surgery. October is only a few days away.

I hope you are feeling better! We are getting our flu shots this next week – they have already reported cases in our county. Hope you can stay germ-free until after the surgery..

I just heard from Zakiah (Tuesday evening). Her surgery on Monday was successful, and she asked me to let you all know that she is now resting at home. She said she will post later this week or early next week.

Just got the update that you are home after surgery. I am surprised that you are home so quickly. Presumably that means all went well. Many well wishes and prayers your way for an easy recovery. ❤ Lynn
