Halloween 2016

Davis said that he was too old to dress up and go trick or treating. So he stayed at home and gave the candy out. By the way he celebrated his 13th birthday on the 30th. A teenager!
But the two younger ones, Andrew and Zain, they had a blast. Shelley had got special suits for them based on the Curious George characters.

OMG! Did they look cute or what! Little Zain walks in and even before he had stepped into the foyer, he was yelling, “Candy, ammi Candy!” I asked him how much candy he wanted and he said, “I not know!” I felt like eating him up. Here they are, goofing off with baba!

Such concentration on Zain’s face!

I have recently published another book titled Gulistan, A home of Flowers. It has stories and memories of my childhood and of a distant land which I still consider as my HOME., even though I have lived here in the US for more than fifty years. Hope to see you on my blog.

Grandkids are such fun! My goodness — 13 years old!!! Davis will soon be going off to college behind his cousin Noah! I usually just hide from Halloween — not afraid of the little goblins, but of the older ones and whoever else might be out playing pranks! I think there was just one large group of kids, with parents along, that stopped in my part of the cul-de-sac, so I didn’t feel too bad that I had the house dark!

I know! They are so cute. We had about 60 kids, most of them little ones, which was good. I am averse to the older kids coming. There was one without any costume, and I asked her what she was supposed to be, and she said, “just myself”…That was scary. it was about 8pm, and I knew all the little kids would be getting ready for their sleep, so we switched off the lights too.
Davis is Noah’s younger brother, Saadi’s second child. yes in just a few years, he will be getting ready for college too.

Ach — I wondered about Davis and Noah, but only after I sent that message! How is Noah doing? I’m sure you’re excited to see him soon when he comes home for Thanksgiving! I’m glad to see your post this evening — I’ve been thinking about you! Love and hugs!

Noah was here this past weekend. Davis celebrated his birthday, and Noah’s girl friend had her birthday a couple of days before that. So he came home. He will be back in for thanksgiving and will stay for more days then. He is doing so well in college, Janet. Maintaining his A and A+ grades. He is with some senior students, into a design workshop. They are designing airplane parts and building an airplane. He is very excited about that. I am so happy for him. Thank you for asking.

    They are so cute!

I was dressed as Hillary Clinton while handing out candy (which is funny because I am not voting for her)… I got a lot of chuckles from parents but confused looks from kids. Oh well, I’m glad that I gave the adults a laugh 😀

  3. They are so so SO cute! 🙂
Curious George! What a fun idea!
Happy 13th to Davis! I hope he had a wonderful birthday!
They grow up so quickly! But, it’s a joy to watch each stage of their growth!
We have neighbors who go all out to decorate their homes with fog machines, elaborate decorations, music, etc. And they dress up to greet the kids. So we had over 100 trick-or-treaters in about 90 minutes! I ran out of candy! It was a fun night! 🙂 I love seeing the costumes and talking to all the kids! And they all want to pet Cooper! 🙂
    HUGS!!! 🙂

  4. I think you get just as much fun out of Halloween as the kids! 😄 I hope you’re doing well.

I did this year, because most of the kids who came were little, and they were all accompanied by their parents and dressed so darling.
I loved reading your post on your blog. Be well. Love and hugs.
