I have just joined a new blog, called the neighbourhud. Donellie Whyte is the creator and wants as many people as possible so we could have a xanga like atmosphere. This is the link. Please check it out. Donellie is very helpful and after an initial floundering on my part now I am on this blog.
https://neighbourhud.mightybell.com/communities/ I am excited about this. Wouldn’t it be good to have another blog like xanga where people come together and write and have a jolly good time?

About Zakiah
I write poetry and some fiction, have a book that was published in 2012. . . Stray Thoughts/Winged Words. I have four grandchildren, ages 16 and half to almost 16 months. I love the ocean, and grew up along the Indian Ocean in South India. I am a retired physician. Don't know much else to say. Thanks for reading.
That has been my profile for so many years. My daughter Saadia a great poet and story teller, has two sons; the oldest grandson is now 21 years old, doing architectural engineering at Missouri S&T in Rolla MO. His younger brother is almost 16 and taking driving lessons seriously and is in High School. The other two grandsons, children of my son Sayeed, are 9 and 5.
I have recently published another book titled Gulistan, A home of Flowers. It has stories and memories of my childhood and of a distant land which I still consider as my HOME., even though I have lived here in the US for more than fifty years.
Hope to see you on my blog.
I hope you don’t plan to leave Xanga and/or WordPress right away! It does look like this might be a good opportunity, though.
No no, I won’t leave xanga or WP. I still have two years on xanga I think. I just would like something more like the xanga community and would like to see how I fit in.
That’s good! I did ask for an invite — but there was nothing explaining what happens next!
Thanks, I don’t need 3 blogs. Lol. I requested an invite.
I am going to request an invite and yes would love to have another Xanga like community to blog in again.

I hope you let us know how Xanga-like it is. I hardly ever blog anymore but maybe I could get interested again.
I am still trying to follow you so I can come to your site and read your posts.
Will do Dian. I think it is going to be easy and hopefully the people will have easy and empathic outlook on it.
I’ll check it out. I’ve missed xanga but I don’t know if I can keep up two blogs–can try. I use blogpress for videos and just to comment on other’s post.
I wish that there was a link on their homepage where we could see what it’s about (like maybe sample screenshots, “about us”, and such) and decide if it’s something we want to try. I’m curious to find out about it. It would be nice to be in a Xanga-like community again.
Marica, you can go on that link and talk to Donellie. He is very helpful and I am sure he will answer all your questions.
I’m not sure if I can handle another blog. But keep us posted on how you like it.
I hope it goes well!
My life is so busy I only have time for one social media site, so I will stay on WordPress. I’ve been here 5 years reading blogs and over 4 years posting my own blog. I have a great group of friends here! Former Xangans and some who weren’t on Xanga.
HUGS!!! 🙂
