Not Feeling Good.

Not feeling good. Since Saturday evening when I returned from Sothern Illinois. I had gone there to watch Noah and his team play tennis. From the minute I got home till, now, I have been chilling, feverish, body aches and pains. Yuck.

I thought I was having the flu, though at this time of the year it was somewhat farfetched. Anyway I started myself on Tamiflu. Today, I broke down and went to see the doctor. He gave a totally different diagnosis. Started me on antibiotics, and I am getting ready to head for the bed. Don’t expect a post from me until I really feel good. Okay?

Love you all. Stay healthy.

About Zakiah

I write poetry and some fiction, have a book that was published in 2012. . . Stray Thoughts/Winged Words. I have four grandchildren, ages 16 and half to almost 16 months. I love the ocean, and grew up along the Indian Ocean in South India. I am a retired physician. Don't know much else to say. Thanks for reading. That has been my profile for so many years. My daughter Saadia a great poet and story teller, has two sons; the oldest grandson is now 21 years old, doing architectural engineering at Missouri S&T in Rolla MO. His younger brother is almost 16 and taking driving lessons seriously and is in High School. The other two grandsons, children of my son Sayeed, are 9 and 5. I have recently published another book titled Gulistan, A home of Flowers. It has stories and memories of my childhood and of a distant land which I still consider as my HOME., even though I have lived here in the US for more than fifty years. Hope to see you on my blog.

Since last Tuesday evening, I’ve been suffering something similar — no fever, but a nasty cough, no energy, and all the other things that go with a nasty cold. I’ve been on antibiotics since Thursday (today’s day 6), and am finally beginning to feel a little better. My doctor has told me to call her again if I don’t feel like I’ve turned the corner by the end of the week! It’s a NASTY one! I hope you feel better quickly!

      Dear Michel,
How kind of you to enquire again. Thank you. Today has been the best day for me. I get to have an appointment with a gastro intestinal expert on Wednesday. Hopefully he will be able to do a thorough exam and I will know what is going on inside my body. I am beginning to feel much better, and in fact, I even was able to drive myself to a store to get something an hour ago.
      Love,
      Zakiah.

I’m glad to read that you are feeling a little better, Zakiah, but concerned that you are turning to a GI expert. I hope this is nothing serious for you, and that you will soon be feeling back in good form! It’s cool and damp here again today, and I’m still staying inside as much as possible, though I am beginning to feel better. Do take care of yourself, and let us know how you are doing. Hugs!!!

  13. Sorry to hear about your health woes, Zakiah. It reminds me of January 2012 when I spent four days in bed with a roaring fever until Alicia dragged me to a doctor who diagnosed tonsillitis and told me I should have come to him much earlier. Alicia’s health problems are sorted out, finally; a pinched nerve and messed up shoulder caused the chest pain, and the rest was gastritis. A chiropractor and some antibiotics have done wonders.

  14. I’m sorry you’re not feeling well. I hope you feel better soon.

  15. rudyhou says:

oh geez. take good care of yourself, zakiah. may you get well fast.

  16. Zakiah says:

Feeling fine now Rudy. Thank you for the concern.
