An Open Letter to Michel Fauquet (of Xanga) and Family of France.

Dearest Friend Michel, Janine, and family
Today I write to you with my head bent in shame for the atrocities of other so called Muslims who have raped and violated your beautiful land. My heart aches and my tears flow at the indescribable sorrow which all of you and your nation is going through.
How sad that one hand full of misguided individuals can destroy the peace and love of people and cause such heinous crime. This is not what Islam is about. These people who murdered innocent Parisians, are not Muslims. I don’t know what they are. They are not Muslims. These people have heldΒ the great religion of Islam as a hostage, and have brought good, believing people of that same religion, to their knees.
I am sorry for the ache that your nation feels, and I totally empathize with each one. I wish and pray that these blood thirsty individuals will have their just ends, as only God can show His retribution. I, ache for your people and for your nation., and pray for peace on this earth.
Love and best wishes
Zakiah— another Muslim of a different fabric.

Nicely said Dr.Zakiah. We know that Muslims are peace loveing people and likei n my faith, we have had instances where so called Christians did horrrible things to people.

I know this is extra upsetting you, an you have my condolances.

    blessings

    frank

    • Zakiah says:

Thank you Frank for such a sweet comment. Just like in other religious groups, there are many who are not as good as the others. Thank you for understanding.

  2. Beautiful note and I’m sure many people understand that this doesn’t represent the peaceful religion of Islam.

    • Zakiah says:

Matt, I hope the world recognizes your thoughts. There are many people who are ignorant about other religions and they see what the media portrays, and develop the hatred about all Muslims in general.

  3. This brought tears to my eyes, SweetZ! πŸ™‚ Thank you for sharing it!
I join you in love and prayers and tears for France.
There are people of EVERY religion and of NO religion who are violent and evil and do things we abhor and make us sad. 😦
You are a beautiful bridge, SweetZ! Your love and your heartfelt words are a bridge between people and beliefs. You bring joy and love and peace to the world. Thank you! πŸ™‚
Michel and Janine are wonderful people! Michel has been such a good friend to me! I love and greatly appreciate him! πŸ™‚
    HUGS!!! πŸ™‚

    • Zakiah says:

Thanks Carolyn. People like you, who understand and who have the knowledge, make a difference. It is all about education and knowledge, which some of these Muslims, do not have, and who are brain washed by the so called ‘mullas’ (Islamic scholars).

    Very gentle hugs Dr Z.

  5. beowulf222 says:

I had been worried about these developments in Europe (be it France, UK, or Germany) and I am wondering whether it is really a religious/ideological problem or rather a social.

That said, I find it very considerate of you to offer some words of “reason” here. I think blaming the entire Muslim world is just as wrong as what these misguided fanatics do.

    • Zakiah says:

A great comment Nick. Thank you. As I told Janet below, these deranged fundamentalism is seen in so many other religious groups. I was listening to an Evangelical radio station once a few months ago, and the caller on the radio said, ” Just like we know that this is a white man’s land and world, and we took our land from the Indians here, and thought that an only good Indian is a dead Indian, so also we should know and act on the fact, that the only good Muslim is a dead Muslim.” Needless to say, I was appalled.

  6. What happened in Paris is sad. As you might be aware, something similar happened in Sydney a few weeks ago. I absolutely don’t think it’s because they were Muslim that caused them to do this. I also don’t think you need to apologise, because you did nothing wrong. But, I know all too well how hate against a group of people (whether it’s racism or against a religion) can play out when the perpetrator is identified as being of a particular background. Hugs to you, Zakiah, and I hope you don’t face any hostilities.

    • Zakiah says:

I love you Tony. Thank you for such empathy. I was aware of the heinous act in Sydney, and trembled with anger and disgust at what they did to your beautiful city. I pray that there is peace around the world, soon.

  7. cjjustice1 says:

Dear Zakiah ~ You are so precious… is it any wonder that you are so very loved by your family and your many friends! I can’t say it any better than any of the other respondents… but dear one, you do make such a difference in the lives of others by your deep caring and loving heart. No, it is most obvious that these ones who call themselves Muslims are not at all anywhere near the same fabric as you. My prayers also for those who are the victims of those who are bringing about such pain, havoc, divisiveness, and death. Getting to know our dear friend Michel and his wife Janine, and their family (as well as others from other countries) help to make us see how special they are … and also that we must learn and love and pray for each other. ~ I am one who loves you, too…. Carolyn

    • Zakiah says:

Like I said above, only the depth of knowledge, education and understanding with empathy, can rid our world of such misguided men… who think that such a horrible act will attain for them paradise. What a lot of bull!
Thank you for your kind words Carolyn.

      • cjjustice1 says:

You are welcome, and I truly meant them.
I do know the frustration of having people who call themselves one thing — like “Christian” or “Baptist” or whatever, and who behave in a very un-Christlike way …. i.e. – in quite a devilish way. It makes everyone look bad.

  8. You are so tender, dear Z

  9. sunsetdragon says:

Happy Birthday and may it be filled with joy and blessings.

  10. Is it your birthday?!
If so…HAPPY Birthday!!! I hope you have a fun wonderful celebration of you…making precious memories! πŸ™‚
    Birthday-HUGS!!! πŸ™‚

  11. slmret says:

It is sad that a very few radicals can paint an entire ethnic group with their frightening brushes. This act of a small group will reflect on people everywhere, and change our lives forever!

On a happier note, I’m glad you had a happy birthday! It sounds lovely!

    • Zakiah says:

I had lunch with David Kimball, whose id on Xanga was dwk something I believe. He remembers you. He was talking about the fundamentalism of religious fervor that has gripped the world, be it Muslims, Hindus, Christians. He was quoting examples of various heinous acts of all peoples around the world.
Yes, Janet, it is such a sad thing that his tragedy had to take place.
      I did have a good January 11th.

  12. GUESS WHAT?!?!
Today (Jan 21) is Nat’l Hug Day! YAY! πŸ™‚
