What ecstasy is this I feel
Every time you look at me?
I hold you in my thoughts
Offering to you my youth
As I unbind your tresses.
Smiling moonlight
Touching your lips
Sweet and heavy with my name!
My heart beats your name all day and all night
My thoughts weakened by desire
Hold your face in my eyes,
And when you touch me and whisper my name
I hear the gentle murmur of the stream
Singing to me, soothing my passion
Telling me, you own me!
If I could be greedy
I would ask for more
The sky with all its stars
The earth with its endless riches!
But a tiny corner of this earth
Is all I want.
Could you come?
And live your life with me?
ZSA 2010.
I hope you continue to blog here.
Thank you Jeff. After I saw your comment on Xanga I had to go to the mosque for Friday services. Just got home and I am happy to see that you have commented here. That is encouraging.
I see that Matt (elusivewords) has also commented. I need to figure out how to have the poem on the same page and see the comments.
Again, thank you Jeff.
I really like the ending of this poem. (this is Matt)
Thanks Mattie. I wish I could see the poem on the same page. Two comments so far. Yay!
Okay, I was able to click on the poem and see the comments on the same page Matt. I hope that it gets easier.
Hey! This is Carolyn…we’ve been dialoging on Xanga about WordPress…Ha. 🙂 If you click on people’s “names” in your comment section it SHOULD take you right to their site…unless their site is on “private”. I don’t know a lot here yet…but I am learning and happy to share what I know. Like I said on Xanga…the “Help and Support” page here on WP has helped me a lot! 🙂
HUGS!!! 🙂
Thanks. I think I got it.
OH! I forgot to say…I love reading your poetry! 🙂 This poem is beautiful and romantic! 🙂
Thank you Carolyn. I am glad you like it. it has taken me so long to come back to WP. I appreciate your comment.
Welcome, Dr. Zakiah and loved your poem. Now I have to go and find my wife. lol
Have a great weekend,

Thank you so much for the comment. Now if I can only get to my Xanga site.
An entirely Beautiful piece
Had to come back and read this again. To see the beautiful pictures it paints in my mind, and feel the magic it allows me to feel. I am transported to another place, anotherworld. Love, beauty, desire……. wonderful.
Thank you very much Brent. Love your sensitive comment. I am delighted that you like this.
